Responsibilities of Home Church Leaders:

  1. Responsible for Coordinating all aspects of group life.
    1. Coordinate group activities for inside and outside the meeting times.
  2. Responsible for coordinating each meeting.
    1. Call or notify each group member early in the week before meeting.
    2. Begin the meeting and ensure all agenda items are covered.
    3. Lead the discussion of the Bible lesson.
    4. Begin & end meetings on time.
  3. Responsible for training a co-leader.
    1. Work together as a team in accomplishing group goals.
    2. Schedule opportunities for co-leader to coordinate and lead group meetings.
  4. Responsible for facilitating group evaluations.
    1. Send in reports after each group meeting.
  5. Responsible for building a caring community.
    1. Involved all members in the caring process, become like a close family.
    2. Contact absent members each week and let them know they are missed.
    3. Ask if there is anything your group can do for them to encourage them to be at next meeting.
  6. Open to supervision and ongoing training.
    1. Attend the leadership training sessions as they are offered.
    2. Attend the meetings with you Shepherd in evaluating your group.
    3. Ask for staff help with any difficult problem.
    4. Prayerfully accept evaluations, and look for ways to improve leadership skills.
